Piercing History | Piercing Aftercare

 

1. Do not touch with dirty hands. Wash hands thoroughly first.
2. Avoid tight clothing initially, it can rub & aggravate.
3. Do not go into swimming pools or spas for 2 weeks. The chemicals can irritate your piercing.
4. Never remove the piercing until the healing period is over. If you take the jewellery out too soon it may not go back in.
5. You need to clean your piercing gently, twice a day, for between 6-12 weeks, depending on the piercing. Do not over clean, twice daily is enough.
6. Bleeding, bruising & swelling are not uncommon in the days after the piercing. It will also start itching as it heals, this is normal.
7. If the piercing gets infected, leave the jewellery in & come & see us. Taking the jewellery out can lead to further problems.
